46 Hours in San Sebastián

San Sebastián,
what an absolutely beautiful place. From the beautiful views above of the city to the sweet alleyways in the heart of the town. This town is so small and delicate it is a must when visiting Spain.

Exploring Urgull, a historical mountain. This mountain had beautiful look out points as well as historical architect. Such an amazing place to explore.

One of the beautiful look out points of Urgull and a stunning view of Beach of La Concha. A great lookout point to view the entirety of this beautiful city.

This is one of the streets of the older part of town. This includes a great range of traditional Spanish tapas restaurants and shops.

This is a view from Urgull, looking over Santa Clara Island and in the distance Igueldo mountain. In the 16th century, people who were infected by the plague were transported to this island to prevent the spread of the disease.

Hope you enjoyed!

A Week in Santorini

Oh Santorini. One of the most beautiful places on earth by far. White houses on the top of the cliff like a snow capped mountain. Blue waters lined with an ensemble of smaller islands. There is honestly no better feeling than waking up in the morning, stepping out onto your balcony and seeing this view.

There is no way to put into words or try and show through a picture how stunning this place was. So I will try my best to show you through an assortment of photos. I hope you enjoy and would 1000% reccommend to anyone thinking of visiting Santorini.

This is Red Beach. It was given that name due to its red rock that surrounds the beach and its shore. It was a lovely hot day so was great to go for a swim in the ocean.

The view from the left side of our balcony. Such a beautiful sight.

This was the balcony of the house we were staying at. It was a Air BnB! We were one of those white houses that you would see on the cliff in the postcards, and we got the stay there a week!

The most amazing array of white and blue buildings lined the island. It was like viewing and being submerged in a postcard.

These beautiful donkeys would come walking by our house ever afternoon after a days work. Although it was tradition, it was definably sad seeing these beautiful creates in the boiling sun each day climbing up hundreds of stairs.

Thank you for reading! Love Brooke x

My Current Favourite Skin Care Products

For me, to have clear and healthy skin is to also feel comfortable and confident.  I feel like a better person, and with the help of a few beautiful products, this is achieved. So here are a few of my favourite skin care products that i have been loving recently, and some for many years.

Lush soap in "Sultana of Soap"

This soap from lush contains dried fruits such as sultanas and apricots, as well as olibanum and bergamot oil. I use this soap as my cleanser and makeup remover for my face. I know what you are thinking, NO HOW DARE YOU USE SOAP ON YOUR FACE, but... I feel like it works a charm and is super fast, also this being one of the soaps from lush that doesn't have the harsh soap chemical contained within it. This is the first step that I do in the shower, gently massaging all over my damp face and washing away. I find it completely removes all of my makeup without any trace left.

Lush "Let the Good Times Roll" facial cleanser.

This is definitely my holy grail facial cleanser. I have been using this for the past year and have fallen completely in love. I go in with this product right after I use sultana of soap on my face. I put approximately a finger pad amount on my hand and mix in a couple of drops of water to make a paste. I then exfoliate my face with this. I find that because it is slighlty more coarse it completely exfoliates my skin leaving it soft and smooth afterwards. My skin is also left moisturised afterwards as well as the amazing smell of caramel popcorn.

Simple Rich Moisturiser.

When it comes to a moisturer, I don't want anything too complicated as I still have young skin. I just want something that is simple and will do the job. And this is exactly what this moisturiser achieves. I use this after I have a shower and have cleansed and cleaned my skin, as well as first thing in the morning when I wake up and before I put on my makeup. I find that it doesn't feel thick, heavy or sticky on my skin and hydrates it the perfectly. Another holy grail skincare product of mine as I have been using it for approximately 2 years now and has worked perfectly for my skin.

Benefit Its Potent Eye Cream

This eye cream achieves what I like, which is nourished under eyes that will decrease the amount of creasing my concealer does the next day. I also use this as a preventative to under eye wrinkles for when I older.

Sudocream

My beautidul friend Liz introduced me to this amazing product. Quite simply it is just an antiseptic cream, but works magic as a spot cream. I just apply this to any spots that I have on my face before I got to sleep and it helps them to heal and reduce overnight. This is super inexpensive as well which is also a bonus.

Jojoba Oil

I have only just discovered this oil but it is an honest must have. Ever since I have started using this oil I have had hardly any spots on my face. It is the only product that I have seen this much of a difference within my skin on. I use this approximately once every three days, varying depending on when i remember. I use this after I wash my face with my lush soap and cleanser, I then put a layer of moisturiser on and then 1 pump of this oil on after the moisturiser. I rub it between my hands and then evenly distribute it around my face. If i have any left over i will run it down my neck (as they say that is the first place you age) and also on my nail cuticles (I have found that it makes my nails longer and stronger also!).

And then to top it al off I use the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in 01 Honey. This allows my lips to get all the moisture they need overnight and are nourished and hydrated by morning.

Hope you all enjoyed and trust me, these products are amazing.

Waterfall Wednesdays

For anyone that knows me knows that I love the water. And currently being winter in Australia there is the wrong kind surrounding me. But what better than water in the summer? water falling into more water! On a Wednesday morning me and my friend woke up planning on going to the beach on a sunny day in Australia. In a sudden burst of spontaneity we decided on going to Serpentine Falls instead, and yes it was a brilliant idea. Serpentine falls is approximately an hour from where I live in Perth, creating a mini road trip. When you arrive, you are greeted by the kangaroos surrounding the picnic site. Serpentine Falls isn't particularly big but yes it is very beautiful. As we went on a Wednesdy, it wasn't particularly busy, although there were still a few people there.

No only was there the main waterfall but also small streams connecting the two pools of water. A great little place to take a seat!

The beautiful thing about this waterfall is that it is surrounded by fresh water. This honestly makes you feel so fresh and somewhat clean after you have been swimming, unlike the ocean. Instead of feeling salty and dry you feel fresh, clean and your hair is still as shiny as you washed it the night before! It is refreshingly cooler and a perfect spot on a summers day.

Hope you enjoyed! and have a lovely rest of your day.
Love, Brooke

Beautiful Bremer Bay

There are many beautiful places within Australia. Some are well known and others are far away and isolated. Fortunately enough I know of one magical place that is more unknown than known. Bremer Bay. Located in the south west of Australia, it is approximately a seven hour drive from Perth, however the long car drive is definitely worth it. I have visited Bremer three times now and each time it gets better than the last. My aunty has a beautiful house there so I am fortunate enough to be able to stay in one of the most simple but stunning houses with a breathtaking view. It has a large boulder out the front of the house, perfect for laying out in the sun like a lizard on a rock.

The main attraction of Bremer Bay are its beautiful beaches. Some are easy to get to, others are not. There is a beach called Native Dog beach with its good surf and beautiful rock pools. There is one  hidden rock pool known as "Sally's pool" at the far end of the beach. Honestly, the little mermaid aint got nothing on this place. You have your own little mermaid haven that made all of my mermaid dreams seem true.

The next beach was by far my favourite, yet the most difficult to find. As my aunty lives in Bremer, she was able to give us the directions and location of this hidden gem. It was not easy to get to, having to go for a small bush walk and then go down a sand cliff, but it was definitely 1000% worth it. I will keep the name of this beach unknown so that it will forever have that sense of a secret hidden beach. As no one knows about this beach, it was completely deserted and therefore all to ourselves. We were like children in a candy store when we arrived, not even being able to contain our excitment. You will see why.

The next location is not so much a beach but more of place to just sit and observe the beauty of mother nature. It is called Sparkling Island, a rock formation amist the crashing waves of the southern ocean. At certain times of the year you are able to see the whales migrating through these waters. We saw a small seal dancing within the water among the waves. It was also a wonderful place for a picnic.

One of the most stunning parts about Bremer Bay are their sunsets. Lighting up the sky with various shades of colour and creating the most relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. You can't help but end up with hundreds of photos of the same sunset, because you don't want to forget a moment of it. These are just a few of the many beautiful sunsets that Bremer experiences. You are almost always guaranteed to get an amazing sunset each afternoon.

Here are a few more photos of various other beaches and locations around Bremer Bay...

Bremer Bay is most definitely the most beautiful place I have visited in Australia and I am convinced it is one of the most amazing places in the world.

That time I went to New York

Seeing as I have just been at home, working and studying, i thought i would reminisce. I always find it so joyful looking back through old travelling photos and remembering the amazing moments that you had in a particular place. Well this is exactly what I was doing the other day and I came across the photos of when I went to the big apple, New York City. So I thought I would share some of my most amazing memories.

This was definitely one of the most amazing experiences of my life as I got to explore this beautiful city with some of my closest friends. Will definitely be heading back as soon as possible. They don't call it the "big city" for nothing. It makes you feel like a whole other person.
